The latest accounting forum that was held on 18 Oktober 2019, invited Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, Ak., CA., CMA, a Professor and Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga as well as Head of Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants, Accounting Education Division. Prof. Agustia highlighted the core competencies that accounting graduates should possess in order to face the challenges of the future.
The talk was started with the demographical, macro situation particularly in Indonesia and the challenges that may be faced by the students in the future. With this regard, she proposed many attributes of accounting graduates, from behavioral and attitudes to required skills. More specifically, she maintained that graduates should also possess the ability to understand and apply the accounting know how and certain hardskills, including accounting, business, economics, mathematics as well as expertise in accounting and data analytics softwares.
The next accounting forum will be held on 8 November 2019 at 15.00 in Ruang Sidang Utama, Gedung Dekanat, Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis, Universitas Diponegoro.
