UNDIP Holds LPDP Scholarship 2026 Socialization, Strengthening Talent Development Toward Indonesia Emas 2045

Semarang, 13 February 2026 – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) organized a Socialization Program for the 2026 LPDP Scholarship aimed at young lecturers and final-year students within the university. The event, held at Widya Puraya Building, featured the Director of Scholarships of Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP), Ir. Dwi Larso, M.SIE., Ph.D., as the keynote speaker.

The program was officially opened by UNDIP’s Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., who emphasized the strategic role of higher education institutions in preparing globally competitive talents.

“UNDIP is committed to encouraging lecturers and students to seize LPDP scholarship opportunities as part of our strategy to enhance academic capacity and strengthen the university’s international reputation,” Wijayanto stated in his opening remarks.

During the main session, Ir. Dwi Larso presented the strategic direction and policy transformation of LPDP for 2026. He explained that LPDP is shifting from an education-centric approach toward an impact-driven framework, ensuring that scholarship recipients contribute meaningfully to national development.

“We are not merely funding education; we are preparing leaders and professionals who can deliver strategic impact for Indonesia. LPDP is moving from education-centric to impact-driven,” he emphasized.

He further elaborated that the 2026 LPDP Scholarship schemes cover both degree and non-degree programs, including the Strategic Industrial STEM Scholarship, SHARE Scholarship (non-STEM), Co-Funding Partnerships, Special Cooperation Schemes, as well as affirmative and partial funding programs.

“Our target is that at least 80 percent of scholarship recipients will come from STEM and STEM-related fields, as part of strengthening Indonesia’s industrial and innovation ecosystem,” Dwi Larso explained.

In addition, LPDP provides strategic consideration for applicants admitted to leading global universities. “Applicants accepted at top-ranked universities will receive greater priority during the selection process, while still considering the overall quality of the candidate pool,” he noted.

He also highlighted that LPDP scholarships are fully funded, covering tuition fees, living allowances, book allowances, health insurance, and other academic support components in accordance with LPDP regulations. The selection process consists of administrative screening, scholastic aptitude testing, and substantive selection including essays and interviews.

The event was moderated by UNDIP’s Vice Director for Partnership and Global Connectivity, Pulung Widhi Hari Hananto, S.H., M.H., LL.M., and concluded with an interactive Q&A session. Participants actively raised questions regarding application strategies, document preparation, and opportunities under co-funding and partnership schemes.

Through this initiative, UNDIP reaffirms its commitment to expanding access to global education opportunities and strengthening the development of high-quality human capital in support of Indonesia’s long-term vision toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
