Prof. Andreas Lako and Mr. Nur Abdillah, M.Si., have just elaborated the substantial and important issues on green accounting and risk based auditing to more than 80 audience in Hall Gedung C, Faculty of Economics and Business, UNDIP on 26 October 2018. Prof. Andreas Lako highlighted how corporate should not only focusing on firms’ profits per se, but should also emphasizing the importance of environmental (planet) and social (people) responsibility. For more than 60 minutes, he also elaborated how accounting should adapt to face the radical development of corporate social responsibility.
On the other hand, An executive director of Institute of Internal Auditors, Indonesia, Pak Abdillah, focused on risk based audit framework and how it could enforce management and board to manage risk. He also argued that technically speaking, there is no best practice regarding risk-based audit technique that is applicable to all firms in all situations. However, risk-based audit stages should be starting with risk assessment maturity, and then followed by periodic audit planning and individual audit assignments. Prof. Andreas Lako also gave away his books entitled Green Accounting to several participants asking best questions.
