The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip) remains committed to improving the quality of its human resources, including lecturers, administrative staff, and students, through various competency development programs. One of the latest efforts is the Mandarin Language Competency Improvement Program, scheduled to run from October to December 2025.
Activity Schedule
This program is designed to consist of 12 meetings for each class, with the following schedule:
- Class A: Begins on October 1, 2025, and runs through December 17, 2025, every Wednesday.
- Class B: Begins on October 2, 2025, and runs through December 18, 2025, every Thursday.
Each session will be implemented in stages with a structured curriculum, covering basic vocabulary mastery, daily conversation, understanding Chinese culture, and communication skills in a business context.
Program Objectives
Mandarin is one of the most widely spoken international languages in the world. Mastery of this language is a crucial asset in the era of globalization, especially for students and academics at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Undip who will one day enter the world of business, trade, and international diplomacy.
Through this program, participants are expected to :
- Understand basic Mandarin language skills for active communication.
- Understand the ethics of cross-cultural communication, especially with Chinese partners.
- Enhance the competitiveness of FEB Undip graduates in the international job market.
This program aligns with FEB Undip’s vision to produce graduates who excel not only in economics and business knowledge but also possess cross-linguistic and cross-cultural communication skills. With Mandarin language training, it is hoped that students, lecturers, and educational staff will be better prepared to face the challenges of Society 5.0 and the global economic era.
